Sticker Shock Renamed "Poster Plaster", Planned for April 2013

Teams of teens with adult chaperones from Des Plaines, Park Ridge and Niles will blanket retail businesses in Maine Township in April to distribute posters that say "Thanks for not providing alcohol to teens." The posters recognize and encourage adults that do not provide alcohol to anyone under the age of 21. This event is planned in conjunction with Alcohol Awareness Month in April and also as prom and graduation season approaches.

Contact Jaime at socialnorms@mcyaf.com to participate.

Have you heard about TxtaTip?

WithTxtaTip, you can report a friend in trouble, a party, crime or suspicious activity to the police by texting an anonymous message to them. Here's how it works:

Step 1
Send text to: 274637 or C-R-I-M-E-S

Step 2
Start your text message with the Keyword ICARE.
Then type your message and send it.

Step 3
In a few seconds, you'll receive a confirmation message
on your cell phone with an anonymous alias ID.

That's it!
You just helped a friend in danger or stopped a crime.
NOTE: If it's a true emergency, call 9-1-1.
